The Period Swim Bikini by The Period Company looks just a bikini bottom, but with a discreet and sophisticated layer system designed to absorb and trap blood, and keep water out!
Here’s how it works:
Period blood generally doesn’t flow when our bodies are in the water, due to the pressure. Period Swim's sophisticated layer system is designed to do two things: 1) trap flow when moving around outside of the water, and 2) keep water out. The top layer allows blood to flow through to the highly absorbent middle layer, but not back out. The outer layer is leak-proof, and keeps water out. Together these layers work to allow you to comfortably stay leak-free while enjoying the beach, pool, or lake!

- Absorbs up to 2 tampons of flow
- It is normal for the garment to fit snug when dry - it will relax and grow about half a size when wet
- Main: 80% Recycled Nylon, 20% Spandex
- Absorbent Layer: 100% Polyester
- Leak Proof Layer: 100% Polyester PUL
- The Period Company fabrics have been rigorously tested by a third party company to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices – they proudly use fabric that is free of PFAS toxins
